Located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Dicky Beach is the only recreational beach in the world to be named after a shipwreck, here in the SS Dicky iron steamship, which ran aground in heavy seas in the late 1800s. This was my 10th visit to the location, and each time I notice just a little bit more of it disappearing. Recent research suggests it may be gone in as little as a year, so I hope my images remain as part of an important historical record of this iconic part of the Sunshine Coast.
