In my opinion, The Pinnacles, located on Victoria's Phillip Island, are a landscape photographer's dream, these ancient rocks looming over the surf and winds that come in unshielded from the Tasman. You really do get a feeling of awe standing among them. It was nesting season as I made my way to the rocks, constantly shooing hundreds of birds from my path. Upon arriving at the Pinnacles well before sunrise, the temperature seemed to drop to near Arctic levels, but I didn't care. I had the place to myself and all the time in the world to take this image, full of beautiful tones
